Botball National Conference
I got back Monday from the Botball 2006 National Conference on Educational Robotics in Norman, OK. http://www.botball.org/ . My school competed in the tournament, and we did very well, getting 20 points during seeding rounds, and even seriously worrying the team that won, Norman High School. It was a blast, we learned a lot of stuff there, we had fun, and we got to meet people in person whom we had only talked to online before. And we saw some really good bots there as well. Now we have to figure out how to get the money to go to the 2007 National Conference, which is in Hawaii (since we're in Oklahoma, it'll take a lot of travel money). By the way, some of the people at the tournament actually asked me how to use GCNrd and GCNCrypt. I told them about homebrew's killer app (GCARS-CS), and they were very interested. So yeah, it was an awesome 4 days. I'm really looking forward to next year!
