Connecting with Opponent is impossible!
I talked to biolizard89 and tried all of his suggestions, none of which worked. We've both forwarded ports 22064 - 22066. We've turned off all firewalls. He doesn't have DHCP, but I do. I don't use DHCP though. What the problem is is when we get to the screen where it shows what players are connected, it only shows yourself as the one connected. I'd like to know how to fix this, please. GCARS(Player 1): Controller 1 Ip Address 1: 192.168.001.101 Ip Address 2: 067.119.002.097 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.001.001 Levine: Same as above PC(Player 1): IP Address: 192.168.1.45 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 DNS Servers: 192.168.1.1 External IP: 71.111.60.243 GCARS(Player 2): Controller 2 Ip Address 1: 071.111.060.243 Ip Address 2: 192.168.000.105 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.000.103 Levine: Same as above PC(Player 2): IP Address: 192.168.0.103 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 DNS Servers: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.103 External IP: 67.119.2.97 Can anybody fix this because it would be awesome if I had this problem fixed. We've been trying to figure out how to fix this for 7 straight hours and nothing. EDIT: Added external IP's.

He has tried that and it would say "ARPing Default Gateway" and crash.

fuzziqersoftware- 05-26-2006

Really? That's a bit odd..... try using GCARS-CS v0.9.5 (or, if you already are, try v0.9.9).

MiStrSmAsH- 05-26-2006

Tried both already. Currently using 9.5.

Check to make sure you can ping each other, check for firewalls and make sure your ISPs aren't blocking UDP port 22064 (some ISPs block ports over ~15000).

MiStrSmAsH- 05-26-2006

We can ping each other. 60ms is pretty good I believe. I've forwarded port 22064 and so has he. Is there an extra step to allow the port to be used?

fuzziqersoftware- 05-27-2006

(Wrong window. Sorry) I don't think so; just make sure they're forwarded to your GC.

MiStrSmAsH- 05-27-2006

I connected, but different problem this time. Whenever I connect to the screen, it shows two connected people. But everytime i get to this screen, my router disconnects me from the internet. For Player 1's IP I used my LAN IP.

fuzziqersoftware- 05-27-2006

I don't know what the problem is.... if all the network setting are as you posted, your cables are good, you've made the change I posted, your firewalls and ISPs aren't blocking the ports, and the ports are forwarded to youe GameCubes, it *should* work. Your own address should be a local address; everyone else's should be remote addresses.

Bomb Bloke- 05-27-2006

Are the GameCubes: <*>Connected directly to the routers <*>Connected to the computers, which are connected to the routers <*>Connected along with the computers to switches/hubs, which are connected to the routersAnd, what's the IP addresses of the routers (they should have at least two each)?

That's ok guys, I got it fixed.
