help with ports
It seems that my ISP is NOT blocking any of my ports, and I'ver set both my DSL mmodem and router to allow the needed ports to my PC for the PSO Server. All of my software firewalls are also off. Does anyone have any suggestions about what else is blocking my ports? canyouseeme.org keeps telling me that it cannot see my ports as the connection timed out. Any suggestions on what I can do to get the ports through to my private server? Thanks again for your help everyone.

My Belkin router's port forwarding and DMZ simply don't work. I checked by disconnecting the router, and hooking up my PC directly to the modem, and then my PC was accessible from the Internet. But when my router is hooked up, all incoming connections are blocked. So you might want to try disconnecting the router and going straight to the modem, and see if that fixes anything. If that fixes it, get a new router, and, if possible, demand a refund for your current one, because it's defective. Other than that, no idea.

No, its a Linksys router, but I'll try it.

Okay it seems I DO need to remove the linksys router as trying to use the QWEST modem with another router causes forwarding issues, moreover I've found that tryying to -*test*-('") the HTTP server myself will always fail, so I may well have had this fixd some time ago and not even known it. Also a nice helpful place for port help I've found is http://portforward.com/default.htm
