How to connect PSO+ & EP3 with 2 network cards For doing this the way Fuzziquer said works and is simple, change your config file like this
*name "ship name"
*longname "long ship name"
*addr+ "ip of first network car"
*addr- "ip address of second card with cube attatched"
*inet "ip address of first network card"
*end
Right make sure that you gamecube can connect to sega normaly so you know that the system is sharing the connection between both netwrok cards, once you know its working then go into the network settings in the gamecube then change the Primary DNS to the IP address of your firts Network card, simple realy and it works I have done this myself im not going to explain the other way it can be done since its so complex setting it up :P.

If you configure it all correctly it works just fine, I have a brouter on my second network card currently with 2 cubes attached and the offlice PC and it works perfectly :D
flames1002- 02-20-2006
what do you mean ip address of second card with cube attatched

If you read what the subject says it says it requires two network cards.

If your using this setup then you should have no problem but if your using a router then you must make sure your router forwards all the ports from the PC running the server software.

That's how I do, it, and I don't have a router. Here's ALL the settings you need to put in:
PSO Server config file:
*name "..."
*longname "..."
*addr+ "network WITHOUT client"
*addr- "network WITH client"
*inet "network WITHOUT client"
*end
PSO GC Network Setup:
IP Address: anything on the same network as the address in the *addr- line
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: same address you used in: *addr- "network WITH client"
Primary DNS Server: same as Default Gateway
I've never seen problems with Plus before; I guess I'll need to investigate it. It might be a difference between protocols; I'll borrow my friend's copy to check it out.

Im connecting with PSO+ just fine with that methord I have currently moved my brouter behind one of my pc's so my system can take requests from more ports since mine could only have 10 virtual server ports, so only pso server could be run, screwing me once pc support is fully implemente.
P.s. v1.5 binds the pso PC port
Zor- 02-21-2006
with the *addr- line do you mean by "with client" the WAN IP address of the PSO+ player that cant connect?
xPSx Hikaru- 02-22-2006
hehehe pc support im really liking this version of the server
azmodius- 03-10-2006
is this with XP or 2000 by any chance?
if XP... with or w/o Conection Bridging?
if 2000.. how the hell? XD with Internet Connection Sharing? cause i never was able to get that working =/
Saiffy- 03-30-2006
Would this be able to work with a USB modem and using a network card on the motherboard? Or would I have to go take the network card from my old computer?
fuzziqersoftware- 03-30-2006
You just need 2 logical networks on your PC. So yes, it most likely would work.
