hey kohle :o seems you broke the proxy server thing in 2.1, i -*test*-('")ed it by going to sega, and schthack, even gcentrex's server, all ended up on my local one.

fuzziqersoftware- 07-10-2006

Get me a log of the exceptions, Tony, I'll take a look when I can use W32DASM next. The proxy server may have to get fixed later, as I can either wait until I get home or make a Mac OS X build of the server.

RigeTony- 07-10-2006

I found out something else. With my settings set as stated above(involving the Addr+ addr- and inet) when someone logs out of the server it causes my character to disappear and I can no longer do anything, but I disconnect normally if I close the server. I am guessing this is due to setting the addr- as the LAN IP which must be my GCN's address. That or, I have no clue. Just lettin' ya know.

( if you can't build a universal binary, you might wanna let me have a go, never had any trouble with that ) PPC-only binaries blow, they're so incredibly slow >> well, on my machine.

Any update on the logs I sent you, Fuzz?

fuzziqersoftware- 07-18-2006

Actually, no; I don't have W32DASM or any x86 disassembler here. I wish Darwine worked under Mac OS X 10.4, but there's nothing I can do about that. I do have the source, though; if someone who knows how to use W32DASM can go to the address 004089BA in the EXE file, copy the entire function it's in, and send it to me, I can probably fix the bug without even building the program. (If the function is extremely long, as I expect it will be, don't bother; just send me the ~40 lines of code before and after it.)

fuzziqer, you have plans to release your server source code? I would be the first doing a MFC GUI for it :P

Gcentrex- 07-21-2006

fuzziqer, you have plans to release your server source code? I would be the first doing a MFC GUI for it :P I dont think he will give out the source but if you want to do him a gui in C he will give you what you need to hook it into his program

RydiaFromFF2- 07-21-2006

yah, a gui would be cool. It would remove the scrollage. Sould add a button to see the Cmd window for the Bug info so the beta -*test*-('")ers can help.

BackStabber- 07-21-2006

You could identify people by their PSO name when they are in the lobby, but when they are on the login server you could do it by their password.. make a gui that sh0ws current players, maybe current quests, all the lobby info, and build in addquest.exe, addlicense.exe, and the compressing tool. Also be able to kick and ban with a click, like you can from the web server. Fuzz you also need to make it so I can see who came on my server, loaded a quests, have the server save a log to a .txt file, I hate scrolling up to find who got on..

Fuzziqer, could you change the Shift+Space key combo (for setting the DNS server mode) to something else, or make it configurable? I tend to press that combo unintentionally while I'm doing other things on my PC. (if you were to look at my server's window, you'd see a lot of this, LOL) > DNS server set to retrieval mode > DNS server set to normal mode > DNS server set to retrieval mode > DNS server set to normal mode > DNS server set to retrieval mode > DNS server set to normal mode > DNS server set to retrieval mode > DNS server set to normal mode > DNS server set to retrieval mode > DNS server set to normal mode > DNS server set to retrieval mode > DNS server set to normal mode > DNS server set to retrieval mode > DNS server set to normal mode

andoba- 07-21-2006

as far I see, the source code is not needed for nothing for making a GUI, so I started it in VB.NET, C++ is too much work for that a simple thing

RydiaFromFF2- 07-21-2006

To Stabber: Yah, that would be great to have. It'll be just like Sch's server thingy (wished that had gc enabled though >.>) To Tota: Mine does that anyways when it's just sitting there o.O And what is the dif between the 2 modes?

Totakeke- 07-21-2006

Retrieval mode works with PSO Plus, Normal mode does not.

RydiaFromFF2- 07-21-2006

oooohhhhh..... that's kinda lame. Soulda just left it as 1 and be done with it lol. Oh wells. What ever the Master wants to do ^_^
