Also, I have a 56k modem. Downloading is out of the question - unless my friend with DSL can find it somewhere.

Hey this is my guide! Just kidding....

Is it possible to know if this method or an altered version of it would be possible with the Wii? Just curiosity since the new SSB will probably be online anyway.

Is it possible to know if this method or an altered version of it would be possible with the Wii? Just curiosity since the new SSB will probably be online anyway. I would guess that this method would work with the Wii, if someone feels like coding it. But since the Wii will already be online, I'm not sure how much use it would be. I think Fuzziqer is going to try it anyway, assuming that someone can find a way to get the Wii to load homebrew code.

Hey, I can't wait to write programs for the Revolution. I remember reading that downloading older games (i.e. NES, N64, etc) will be a pay service, so one of my first projects will probably be a game download server, because I don't want to have to re-buy all the N64 games I ripped ages ago.

Well as far as anyone knows, it has the same memory card ports (and controller ports) to support GC games. This may mean the max drive pro would be the method of choice.

That would be cool. That said, why not just use an emulator on a PC? An N64 emulator like Project64 can increase the rendering resolution to 1600*1200, add external high-res textures, and have a built-in cheat device. The Wii N64 emulator will probably have none of those features. Well as far as anyone knows, it has the same memory card ports (and controller ports) to support GC games. This may mean the max drive pro would be the method of choice. That's true. The Max Drive Pro runs in GameCube mode, though, so I don't know if software loaded by it could switch the Wii hardware to run in Wii mode and get access to its features. I don't know, it's probably easy to do. I'm not familiar with console coding.

Yay. I got it to work after some tweeking. I downloaded Psoload and couldn't figure it out fully. Followed the steps posted here and it didn't work. I didn't understand. So I dl'ed PSul and Read the directions from that. It said for your DNS your put your PC's ip. Well, I proceeded to do that and then started the program and said that some ports can't be opened. Here's a hint to everyone: Close your Pso Server first! lol. I went back to Psoloader and tryed to load the program but hangs (dono why). i tryed with Psul and loaded lickity split. Thanks Bio! Sorry I didn't see this first XD Offnote: I entered my Char name as Gcars and it came out to be a Redria lol

PSUL works. I don't know why this happens, but since PSOLoad seems to work for a lot of people, and since it loads the .dol much faster, I link to both in the n00b guide. But yeah, I always use PSUL, because it's the only one that works for me, lol.

PSOLoad sometimes crashes if your network is busy when you're loading a file (since it uses UDP). Same with the Levine Loader. Since PSUL uses TCP, it will never cause a crash unless the DOL file is bad.
