Troubles....
I'm attempting to go online through the PSO GCARS method. Everytime I try to connect to the server I get the same error message: # 102: You cannot connect to the server, make sure your privider settings are correct. I tried everything, I'm positive all my info is correct. If anyonw has any ideas, please help.

What settings are you using, exactly? How are your systems plugged together, etc...

If it doesn't work in that, there's a good chance that your network has a physical problem (e.g. wrong type of cable, bad router or router settings, etc.). If it does work in that, then most likely your PSO settings are wrong, or something is wrong with PSOLoad. Is your firewall configured to let PSOLoad listen for connections? If you don't have access to a LAN game, just do what Bomb Bloke suggested: post all your connection settings and setup information, and maybe someone here will know what's wrong.

OKay, when I use maunally configure an IP address, it does not work. I looked in my network connections for my IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. When I look in IPconfig, the box automatically closes. I hope this helped people understand my problem better.

Go to Start->Run and type "cmd". From there, run ipconfig.

Now for the Primary DNS, what do I put?

fuzziqersoftware- 03-19-2006

Put your PC's IP there.

OKay, I'm still getting error 102....

If you're playing online (as opposed to in a LAN), is the person you're trying to connect to behind NAT? If so, do they have port forwards setup? (I know Gcars uses port 22065 for Levine, but to tell the truth, I'm not sure about online gaming...) Have you tried having them connect to you instead (ei. Set yourself as player 1)? If so, are you behind NAT? If your GameCube is plugged directly into your PC, is that PC setup as a router? If not, your connection will get no further then your computer. If your computer is plugged into a seperate router (like a DSL modem or something), either plug the Cube directly into that, or use a switch/hub device. If you're still having trouble, at the very least outline how everything is plugged together, how you connect to the internet, and what IP address scheme you're using.

I'm connecting through a router, I'll try what you've suggested though.

I found my problem, in the DNS server, I was putting my PC's IP, not my PC's internet IP. It works now, if anyones up for Smash IM or PM me.
